Reason and Power Classes

I honour Pilates fundamentals as I truly believe we have to understand and appreciate the essence of each movement and build from there. There is a reason for every movement and no matter how small, no matter what your level, this movement will translate into power. I mean that!

Class Descriptions and Insights

There are 5 live online classes each week at multiple levels. I don't believe in saying Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced class.  I use terms like 'Level Up' to show progress. I say 'Staying Power' to indicate strength. 'Pilates 4x4' is a class that represents the natural movements of the spine and 'Pilates Cirque' is targeted to veteran practitioners but still welcomes all Pilates enthusiasts. Finally, the Pilates mantra of working from the ’inside, out’ is showcased in ‘Pilates HIIT’, a powerhouse class built on Pilates fundamentals layered with traditional high intensity moves. 

It is important to say that consistency is key to your success! This will allow you to push the boundaries of your practise so you can see your progress each and every class. While I always encourage real life attendance that isn’t always possible so for that reason each class is recorded and posted to the virtual library so you can catch up!

Monday 9:15am Pilates HIIT 45 mins /

Using Pilates fundamentals first and foremost, we move at a fast, controlled pace and layer traditional Pilates moves with high intensity interval training exercises, with a 'Georgina' twist. In this powerhouse class there is truly something for everyone as we work from the inside out!

Tuesday 9:30am Level Up 45 mins /

I love this class! With each Pilates move we keep building and challenging that move either through stability, mobility, pace, range of movement or weights! There is no limit, push your level!

Wednesday 9:15am Pilates Cirque 45 mins /

A more challenging mat class but still welcomes all Pilates enthusiasts! Sometimes you need to find your inner dancer, gymnast and Cirque! It's fun and a great class to progress your Mat Pilates practice.

Thursday 9:30am Staying Power 60 mins /

Expect to hold and stabilise classic Pilates moves which can be some of the most challenging work we do! This is a one-hour class so join when you can and leave as you need or if you have the 'Staying Power' I'll see you all the way through to the end!

Friday 9:15am Pilates ‘4x4’ 45 mins /

In this class we take the four movements of the spine: flexion, extension, lateral flexion and rotation and complete 4 movements of each. Pure Joseph Pilates flow! Expect lots of movement!

The Hip Roll exercise in mat Pilates is all about spinal articulation. However what is great about this particular exercise is that it requires the body to be fully integrated working the front, back and the two side panels of the body. Toe taps just add to the challenge!
